Ingredients

For the Egg Mixture:

  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 slices white bread cut into thirds

For Cooking:

  • Nonstick spray

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • ½ cup white granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

Prepare the Egg Mixture:

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, powdered sugar, milk, maple syrup, and cinnamon until smooth.

Cut and Dip:

  • Cut each slice of bread into thirds to form sticks. Dip each stick into the egg mixture, ensuring all sides are coated.

Mix Cinnamon Sugar:

  • In a small shallow dish, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Set aside for coating the cooked sticks.

Cook the Sticks:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and spray with nonstick spray. Add the dipped bread sticks to the pan and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, turning to brown all sides evenly.

Coat in Cinnamon Sugar:

  • Immediately after cooking, roll the warm sticks in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.

Serve:

  • Serve warm with extra maple syrup, whipped cream, or fresh fruit, if desired.

Notes

Use day-old or slightly dry bread for the best texture.
Cook in batches to prevent overcrowding and ensure even browning.
These can be frozen after cooking and reheated in the oven or toaster for a quick, crispy breakfast.
